How do I decide which tasks to prioritize?
Prioritization isn’t about doing more—it’s about doing what serves your quest right now and gets you closer to your glistening Mountain summit.
Instead of tackling everything at once, focus on taking ONE inspired action at a time.
How to prioritize Tasks in My Forge:
Each week when you do your weekly reflection, take a moment to prioritize your upcoming tasks. Use the Board or Detail views in My Forge to view all your tasks for your current quest. Then, rank them by their importance with the Priority field:
✔ Slay First → Your most important tasks. Tackle these first each Slay Day. ✔ Slay Later → Tasks that matter but aren’t urgent. Do these after your Slay First tasks. ✔ Summon Allies → Tasks that can be delegated or handled by someone else. ✔ Vanquish → Tasks that no longer fit your quest—send them here instead of deleting.
Questions to ask yourself when prioritizing:
✔ Does this task get me closer to my current milestone? If not, reconsider its importance.
✔ Is it time-sensitive? If it has a deadline or you’ve scheduled it in your calendar, it should be a priority. But also be mindful not to mix up what seems urgent with what’s actually important. When you feel the pull to jump on something urgent, ask yourself, “Is this a situation that requires immediate attention, or is it something that can wait?”
✔ Does it feel overwhelming? If so, break it into smaller steps. You can also add details to the task description and click Update in the Ask Ember field for AI-powered action steps.
📌 Keep your Forge focused. If a task doesn’t get you closer to your Mountain, change its priority to Vanquish and refocus on what matters most right now.
🦄 Hot Tip: Before you get to slayin’, make sure you’ve designated one task as a Slay First task and start with that**. One task at a time = maximum momentum.**
